Expecting to drive 100 times its regular traffic level to its site for a single day in December 2002, Logitech needed an infrastructure in place that could support a new contest application while scaling to meet the expected traffic surge. Back to the future 2 - with JSF view rss file
Recently I posted an article about a proof of concept that I was involved in trying to migrate Oracle Form 3.0 Character based application to a new more upto date technology - JavaServer Faces. The main goal replicating the user interface so that end users do not need to re-learn the application. As a side excersice I have worked on a, sort of, ADF Faces Mega demo bundle for the Oracle field that they can use in customer situations. This bundle contains samples from the ADF Faces core team (HTML and RIA), telnet team, and wireless team. The bundle shows how you can build an application with JSF to support multiple clients - Cellphones, PDAs, Telnet VT terminals, Browsers and IM clients.
