Effective Web Data Extraction With Standard XML Technologies
An ideal data extraction process is able to digest target Web databases that are visible only as HTML pages, and create a local, identical replica of those databases as a result. A comprehensive data extraction process needs to deal with such roadblocks such as session identifiers, HTML forms, and client-side JavaScript, and data integration problems such as incompatible datasets and vocabularies, and missing and conflicting data. Proper data extraction also requires a solid data validation and error recovery service to handle data extraction failures, which are unavoidable. This paper describes ANDES, a software framework that makes significant advances in solving these problems and provides a platform for building a production-quality Web data extraction process.

Intel, Diamond Infotech and Accord Capital Markets Ltd.
The process of economic liberalisation and deregulation that began in the early 1990s led to the brisk growth of the Indian economy, and in turn, the Indian capital markets. Accord Capital Markets Ltd., a stock broker company based in Kolkata, was established in 1994 when the floor-based open outcry trading system was the norm. They faced the challenge to create a cost-effective, high-speed, secure and reliable back-office infrastructure to replace the existing Intel Pentium III processor-based servers. The solution was new Intel Xeon processor-based servers with multiple data backup facilities resulting in a high-speed, secure and reliable back-office infrastructure at a reasonable cost.

DupeFinder is a simple application for locating, moving,
renaming, and deleting duplicate files in a directory
structure. It's perfect both for users who haven't kept their
hard drives very well organized and need to do some
cleaning to free space, and for users who like to keep lots of
backup copies of important data "just in case" something
bad should happen.

Changes:
A problem where the interface code did not work
correctly with newer versions of PyQt (3.14 or
newer) was fixed. Only people who had problems
running the 1.0 version need to download this
update.
